ALWAYS READY TO SERVE

Meet Philip

CONSERVATIVE.
PUBLIC SERVANT.
EXPERIENCED CRIME FIGHTER.

For two terms, Constable Philip Cash has served Precinct 1 of Montgomery County with innovative ideas to keep residents safe, as well as deep relationships within the community.

Constable Cash’s dedication to public service is a trait that runs in his family. His father was a career military man in the United States Army, serving in World War II, the Korean War, and two tours of duty in Vietnam. Cash’s father instilled in him a strong moral code and work ethic, along with patriotism, and a determination to leave the world a better place than he found it.

Constable Cash began his law enforcement career in 1988 as a Montgomery County Deputy Sheriff after graduating from the Harris County Sheriff’s Academy and becoming a licensed Texas Peace Officer. He was quickly promoted to the Montgomery County Narcotics Division where he was assigned to the Department of Public Safety Narcotics Task Force.

Constable Cash became one of the original members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA)-Methamphetamine Initiative Group where he focused on shutting down clandestine laboratory sites. Additionally, Cash dismantled large-scale marijuana growing operations and investigated illicit drug trafficking organizations including Mexican drug cartels and violent street gangs.

For nearly a decade, Constable Cash has headed the Montgomery County Special Investigations Unit, an elite undercover and uniform narcotics and vice crimes investigations group that works with local, state and federal agencies including the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Houston DEA’s Major Drug Squad in the battle to stop the scourge of the most heinous crimes affecting society.

Constable Cash has accumulated over 3,200 hours of certified law enforcement training. These qualifications have given him credence to be recognized and utilized in state and federal court cases as an expert witness in drug trafficking trends and clandestine laboratory operations.

Philip lives in Willis with his wife Heather, also a licensed peace officer who is currently working as an investigator for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. He has one daughter, Cristin, who is a licensed real estate broker.
